Logan's Nightmares included images of himself, fully conscious, immersed in fluid, while metal was surgically forged onto his skeleton.

One of the images Jean Gray saw when she touched Logan's mind was of him "tattooed" with surgical-mapping marks, and fully conscious before an operation on his body was started. Although Logan suffers from nightmares and "flash backs" (in the first X-Men film) he could not remember who had done the operations on him, or why, or any aspect of his life before this happened to him. From a psychological standpoint, he suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Anger Displacement.
